Every day brings a new dawn, a new beginning!   At the New Dawn Studio, which is located in Damascus, Maryland, new beginnings, new creations are happening all the time.  New  Dawn Studio is a home for creative self expression in many forms:  painting, poetry, writing, acting, music and more.

Over the last 20 years, Dawn has been commissioned to paint many portraits of loved ones, cherished pets, buildings, and landscapes. When doing her commissioned work, Dawn totally captures the true essence of whatever the subject matter may be. Although Dawn is successful in working in any genre, her heart tends to be drawn to the allure of old stone mansions and seascapes.

Dawn works in all mediums, with her medium of choice being oil.

Over the years, Dawn has studied art under Martha Tierman/ Kephart Art Studios, Arnold Hurley/ Professor/ Master of Fine Arts, Professor Ahltrom/ Montgomery College, Professor Roger Pierson/ University of Maryland, and Lynne Oakes/ The Joy of Art Studio.

Affiliations: the Art League of Germantown, the Rockville Art League, and the Gaithersburg Fine Arts Association.

Dawn has also been busy over the years writing two novels, "How To Murder Love, A Wife's Perspective on the Death of Marriage" and "Inside Maggie's Mind", as well as working on various music creations.
